Today in Black History Month, we celebrate politician and athlete Julius Caesar Watts Jr.
Watts was a quarterback for the Oklahoma Sooners and later played professionally in the Canadian Football League.
He successfully ran for Congress in 1994 and served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1995 to 2003 and he retired that year.
Watts is currently the owner of the nations first 24/7 Black News Channel, which launched earlier this month.
