161st Street South between Harvard and Yale was shut down due to the fire that left the home completely destroyed.
Officials with the Sheriff's office say a passerby called 911 around 6 in the morning after seeing the home fully engulfed in flames.
When Bixby firefighters arrived, they found a man hanging from a tree. The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office is treating the death as a homicide. The department says all deaths they investigate are treated as homicides initially.
