Nearly 40 Greyhound dogs were seized by a Tulsa emergency rescue team and soon each dog will be up for adoption at the Humane Society of Tulsa.

Many of the greyhounds are from abused homes and former owners will face charges of animal cruelty and neglect.

As of now, the Humane Society of Tulsa will begin relinquishing the animals for adoption on Aug. 19 and potential owners will be required to pay an adoption fee of $120 in order to begin the process.

Each dog will be spayed and neutered before being released and nursed back to good health before being eligible for adoption.
