BIXBY, Okla.-- Bixby residents met Tuesday night in hopes of changing the city's plans for a new bike trail.
Homeowners were originally concerned that the trail would run just along their backyards and lower their property value. Now, the city's mayor says they may have found a compromise for everyone.
"Tonight we had a lot...a lot of folks support taking the trail up the side of Mingo," said Mayor John Easton. "That way we do not go up through the residential neighborhood and through their backyards."
The bike trial is part of a push to bring more forms of transportation to the area.
