TULSA -- Several new billboards in Tulsa are targeting teachers in the state.
The billboards invite teachers to come work in Fort Worth, Texas. The two billboards are placed near the University of Tulsa.
Another one is placed in Stillwater on Highway 177.
The message on the billboards displays the starting salary for teachers in Fort Worth, which is $52,000.
"Your future is in a Fort Worth classroom," the billboard reads.
Last month, teachers walked out in Oklahoma over what they called a lack of education funding and low teacher pay in the state.
