Bill to Name Highway After President Trump Passes Senate Committee

A bill that would name a portion of Oklahoma highway after President Donald Trump passed a Senate committee.

Senators Nathan Dahm and Marty Guinn want to rename a 20-mile stretch of Highway 287 in the panhandle from Boise City to the Oklahoma-Texas state line the President Donald J. Trump Highway.

The committee also voted in favor of a bill that would create license plates that say "America First."

When the bill was first introduced, the plates were going to say "Make America Great Again."

Proceeds from the special plates, if passed, will go to veteran groups in Oklahoma.
