Textbooks could be a lot cheaper if a newly filed billed becomes law.
Senate Bill 1150 would make college textbooks tax exempt.
It would apply to students enrolled and accepted in colleges within the state.
Th exemption would only apply to textbooks that are required for a course.
If approved, the bill would take effect by July, just in time for the fall 2020 semester.
