OK Senate passes anti-abortion bill

Posted

The measure designed to lessen access to safe abortions is now one step closer to becoming a law in Oklahoma.

If passed through Fallin’s signature, the bill would mandate that if a physician performed an abortion, they would be prohibited from obtaining or renewing a license to practice medicine.

It went on to say that the State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision and the State Board of Osteopathic Examiners must revoke the license of a physician performing an abortion, as per KOCO.

KOCO in Oklahoma City reports that Oklahoma State Bill 1552 passed the Oklahoma Senate this week and is expected to head to Gov. Fallin’s desk for a signature.
