FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The former head football coach at the University of Tulsa is now working for a new football team in Arkansas.
Bill Blankenship was announced as Fayetteville High School’s new head football coach on Tuesday.
According to 5NEWS,Blankenship will take over for the Bulldogs in place of former head coach Daryl Patton who resigned.
Blankenship was named head coach of the University of Tulsa in 2011 before being fired in 2014. His first team went 8-5 and ended the season with an appearance in the Armed Forces Bowl, a 24-21 loss to BYU.
