TULSA, Okla. - The Tulsa Pop Culture Expo and comic con kicks off it’s inaugural year this weekend, October 14 and 15 featuring a celebrity guest lineup. Leading up to the expo, several celebrity guests will be making their way around Green Country to speak at Union High School and Tulsa Tech assemblies plus participating in the Zombie Walk .
The Zombie Walk will take place in Brookside on October Friday the 13th, beginning at 8 p.m. AMC’s Walking Dead zombie, Kent Wagner, will join the Zombie Walk in full make-up and costume. To participate in the Zombie Walk, purchase a $20 ticket here.
The first-annual Tulsa Pop Culture Expo, is a charity event benefiting local charities such as The Children's Hospital at Saint Francis, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, Children's Miracle Network, the McAuliffe bookmobile, among others.
The event on October 14 and 15 takes place at the Tulsa Wyndham Hotel with big names such as Chase Masterson, Michael Vance and Gil Gerard.
The Expo includes cosplay, gaming, a Lego room, and a number of special guests. Event-goers will have the chance to sit on Toothless the dragon from "How to Train Your Dragon" and take a photo with a life-sized Spider-man statue.
The Lego room includes sprawling castles, trains and cityscapes, Star Wars creations, Minions, Superheroes and more. The gaming room is 3,000 square feet dedicated to gaming events with prizes.
Tulsa Pop Culture Expo hours are Saturday 10am-7pm and Sunday 10am-4:30pm.
