Bever home in Broken Arrow to be torn down after enough money raised

BROKEN ARROW -- A Broken Arrow city councilman says he has enough to tear down the Bever home.

Councilor Mike Lester announced Sunday morning that he reached the $50,000 goal.

Crews will demolish the house which was destroyed in a fire several weeks ago. The home is also the site where police said two brothers killed five family members in 2015.

Officials will building a memorial garden in the home's place. 

The date for the demolition has not been announced.

Robert Bever was sentenced to life in prison while his brother Michael Bever pleaded not guilty, and will go to trial this summer.
