Last Spring, much of Green Country was under water from devastating floods.
Some communities that are still dealing with those issues now are dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic.
Flood waters destroyed homes and business nearly a year ago.
Church That Matters in Sand Springs held several flood relief events for people in their community.
Pastor Rusty Gunn says it's been difficult to watch families endure even more heartache.
“Working all day and having to provide for your families in the midst of trying to rebuild and not having the finances to hire and get it done professionally", Gunn says, "so there’s a lot of that, and as a result they are hurting when it comes to just supplying groceries and things like that for their family as well.”
This event featured seven competition BBQ teams as well as a drive-through grocery pick up for anyone that needed it.
The church chose the drive-through style to maintain proper social distancing.
Another grocery drive-through event will be held next weekend, complete with produce and dairy products.
