TULSA – The family pet who was sitting in a car that was stolen has finally been returned home, say authorities.

Baxter the nine-year-old Shih-Tzu and King Charles Spaniel mix was sitting in the backseat while his owner aired up the tires.

The owner told 2 Works for You Thursday night that he took his eyes off the 2013 Hyundai Elantra for just a moment when someone jumped in and drove off, with Baxter in tow.

Thankfully, Baxter was returned home Friday, says Tulsa police, and the car was found in Osage County.
