BARTLESVILLE, Okla. -- Bartlesville police officers responded to a home early Wednesday morning after a woman reported that she had found a large snake in her bed.

Officers responded to the home in the 1200 block of Southwest Maple Street.

The black snake was eventually found on the top of window drapes in the home.

The snake was captured and will be released back into the wild. Officers did not specify what type of snake it was.

The photo shows the snake held by Sgt. Randy Tayrien. Patrol Officer Brandon Meyer also assisted in the capture of the intruder.
