BARTLESVILLE, Okla. — Bartlesville Schools will now move into distance learning from December 11 until the end of the semester, according to the Bartlesville School District.

Sports, performances, and extracurricular activities will be suspended on December 12.

The varsity basketball home game on December 8 will resume as scheduled. Only family members and attendees with passes and season tickets will be allowed at the event. Masks will be required and practicing social distancing protocol will be expected.

Currently, students are set to return to in-person learning on January 4. However, as school officials will be monitoring conditions in the new year, the date could be subject to change.

The heightened concerns regarding the availability of statewide adult ICU beds are why Bartlesville Public Schools will shift to virtual.
