BARTLESVILLE, Okla. -- A Bartlesville K9 officer made a quick recovery after major surgery on Tuesday.
Police said "Apollo" underwent gallbladder and spleen surgery and two thirds of his stomach had to be removed.
Doctors were concerned about his chances for survival, but police say "miraculously," Apollo was up and walking around Thursday and was released from the hospital today.
Apollo turned nine-years-old in February and is set to retire soon from the department.
