BARTLESVILLE, Okla. — Bartlesville police are investigating a shootout Thursday morning near the mid-high school that sent one man to the hospital.

Police said the occupants inside two vehicles were involved in a shootout in front of a home near the mid-high school on Baylor Drive.

Several shots were fired, and a man was taken to a Tulsa hospital in stable condition.

Police said the suspect vehicle, a gray Dodge Challenger, which had a Texas license plate, was abandoned on I-44 westbound near Bristow.

Police arrested Caleb McCabe in connection with the incident after he was found at a Walmart in Bristow.

The school was not affected in any way.

Police are questioning the occupants of the home near where the shooting occurred to see if they know anything.
