BARTLESVILLE, Okla. — Bartlesville Police Chief Tracy Roles is making himself available on an "on call" basis for New Year's Eve celebrators who have had too much to drink.

Roles will be available from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. to give safe rides home to anyone within Bartlesville city limits.

Anyone who has had too much to drink is asked to call dispatch at 918-338-4001, and tell the dispatcher that you are requesting a ride home from the chief.

There is no cost for the service.

"It is my hope that everyone arrives home safely after celebrating the holiday," Roles said. "I further hope people will take advantage of this offer in the interest of public safety.”
