BARTLESVILLE, Okla. — Multiple residents and employees at a group home in Bartlesville have been taken to the hospital over a medication mishap, according to the Bartlesville Police and Fire Department.

Officials say nine people, including seven residents and two employees, were evacuated from Jacquelyn House, an intellectual disability care facility, on Wednesday evening.

Instead of flu shots, the patients were given insulin, but are expected to be fine, according to police.

The contractor who provided the medication is cooperating with authorities, police said.

This is an ongoing investigation.
