Broken Arrow police said they, along with Broken Arrow Public Schools, are investigating an indirect threat made by a student.

BAPD Public Information Officer James Koch said the threat was an off-color remark made by one student and overheard by another student.

"We are talking to the suspect and their parents and trying to figure out what was exactly said," Koch said. "It wasn't a threat that led police and the school to suspect it was anything credible."

Koch added that the threat wasn't direct nor did the student say they were going to do something specific.

"Broken Arrow High School administrators were made aware of allegations that a student made an inappropriate comment to another student while on campus," Broken Arrow PIO Charlie Hannema said in a statement. "The incident was investigated immediately, and the student involved has been disciplined appropriately."
