More than 60 band directors met under one roof to play music using their own instruments.

"It's really awesome because we get to play with other band directors and private teachers in the area," said Samantha Faulkner from Eufala Public Schools.

She was part of the 15th annual Band Director Lab Band clinic hosted by The Music Store.

The rehearsals were held at Tulsa Community College on Monday.

It was a chance for the directors to hone their skills under the direction of the University of Oklahoma's Pride of Oklahoma marching band director, Brian Britt, and OU's School of Music new director of bands, Dr. Simon Shanti.

"All of us want to make the best impact that we can for our students, and sharing resources and ideas is a great way to ensure that we all keep growing," said Britt.

They rehearsed different composers, such as Malcolm Arnold and Pyotr Tchaikovsky.
