Aug. 3 - Broken Arrow back to school bash

The Broken Arrow Police Department, The Assembly at Broken Arrow and St. John Broken Arrow are proud to sponsor the 12th annual Back to School Bash and Community Health Fair August 3rd free of charge.

School supplies, courtesy of The Assembly; Haircuts by Clary Sage; Community health fair presented by St. John Broken Arrow, offering select health services and screenings; BAPD K-9 officers, traffic officers, Crime Prevention Unit & school resource officers to share tips on pedestrian & school safety; Immunizations by The Caring Van (bring your shot records); Vision Screening by the Lions Club Mobile Unit; Masonic Lodge CHILD ID program which includes DNA, video, finger prints; Jupiter Jumps, snow cones; BAPS Child Nutrition and Transportation; BAFD Fire Truck and Ambulance; Camp Bandage; Family and Children’s Services, BAPD Victims of Crime Advocate; Tulsa County Library; Vince and Larry the Crash Test Dummies and McGruff the Crime Dog; and more!

Aug. 3 - Foster Family Back to School Bash

Open to all Tulsa County children in foster care, this event will have arts and crafts, face painting, free hair cuts and immunizations, school uniform and supply pick up, snacks, and other surprises!

A drawing will be held for a night for two for foster parents at Post Oak lodge, and a box of Glacier Chocolates.

Aug. 6 - 11th Annual Cuts for Kids

11th Annual Cuts for Kids event! Any school-age child will be offered a FREE haircut at Clary Sage College just in time for the new school year. This is a walk-in event only. There will be no appointments.

When: August 6th and 7th from 9:30 am - 8:00 pm

Aug. 9 - 2 Works for You hosting backpack, supply drive

For the third year in a row, 2 Works for You and Mathis Brothers Furniture are hosting the 2 Cares for the Community Backpack and Supply Drive benefiting The Parent Child Center of Tulsa and Project Elf from August 9 through August 23.

We are asking our viewers to donate new and gently used backpacks, new underwear and new socks beginning August 9 at Mathis Brothers Furniture at 71st and Hwy 169 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Aug. 15 - Back to school picnic

George Kaiser Family Foundation and Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Foundation invite Teach For America Greater Tulsa, Reading Partners, City Year, and community partners to join a Back to School Picnic on Thursday, August 15th at the Gathering Place from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. This event is a great opportunity to engage with Tulsa community leaders making an impact in Oklahoma education before the 2019 - 2020 school year begins.

Aug. 15 - Rudisill Back-to-School Community Resource Fair

The resource fair from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Rudisill Regional Library features book and backpack giveaways; free school supplies; carnival games and other fun activities; free dental screenings, immunizations and health checkups; and more.
