OKLAHOMA CITY — Friday marks 24 years since one of the darkest days in Oklahoma's history -- the Murrah Federal Building bombing.

Madison Naylor was 6 months old and staying at the YMCA daycare nearby when the attack happened.

Now Naylor is now in medical school on her way to becoming a doctor.

It's something, she says, was motivated in part by her own experience April 19,1995.

“It's important you understand the history behind it and what did happen,” she said. “All the first responders, all the people who were doing their best to help. I feel like I can be something good that came from something so horrible.”

Naylor also says several of the first responders from that day still work at OU health sciences center, and she feels honored to learn from them.
