BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — Two men were arrested earlier this week after their attempt to rob a Walmart store in Broken Arrow failed, police said.

The incident happened at the store at 6310 South Elm Place at about 11 p.m. on Monday.

Broken Arrow police said one of the items that the two men, identified as Christopher Lee, 35, and Sammy Lee, 38, stole was an empty iPhone X box, which contained a GPS tracker.

Store employees said one of the men acted like he was asking about products while the other one stole items.

Officers tracked the stolen items through the tracker to the 1200 block of Idyllwyld Street in Broken Arrow.

Police said the men stole $1,098 worth of items. Both were arrested on a count of grand larceny from a retailer.
