PRYOR - Police have identified the suspect  who they say caused a standoff situation at a house in Pryor on Friday.

A Pryor Police Department spokesman said Saturday morning that Justin Dial, 26, was taken into custody at a friend's house and was booked into the Mayes County Jail on outstanding felony warrants from Creek and Rogers counties.

Authorities say that the Pryor Police attempted to pull Dial over Friday afternoon and that's when he exited his vehicle and fled on foot. Police say Dial dropped some drug paraphernalia after exiting the vehicle.

Several law enforcement agencies surrounded a house at 4th and N. Indianola, but after searching the house, they could not find the suspect.

The Pryor Police spokesman said the Mayes County Sheriff's office received a tip and deputies were sent to the house to arrest Dial.

Officers, deputies and firefighters had surrounded the house they thought the suspect was holed up in for more than five hours.

Pryor police say the standoff started around 3 p.m. Police were able to later locate the suspect and arrest him without incident.
