At least 6 people are dead and several others were injured following 3 separate plane crashes over the weekend.
The first happened in Lafayette, Louisiana on Saturday, killing at least five people, including a sports reporter out of New Orleans.
The plane was heading to Atlanta for the Peach Bowl before crashing in a field just 4 miles away from the Lafayette Airport.
There's no word yet on what caused the crash.
The second one happened near the WNC Agricultural Center in North Carolina on Saturday.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the plane went down as it was taking off from the Asheville Regional Airport.
Five people were on the aircraft at the time of the crash.
But there were no major injuries reported.
The third crash happened yesterday in Maryland after authorities say the plane hit a carport attached to a single-family home.
The plane burst into flames, igniting a car and damaging the house, as well as the house next door.
Authorities say the pilot was declared dead at the scene.
The NTSB is investigating what caused that crash as well.
