TULSA - The aunt sentenced in the deaths of her two young nieces who died in an apartment fire was denied her request to withdraw her plea this week.
Miashah Moses was recently sentenced to 10 years after initially pleading guilty to two counts of child neglect in the deaths of her 18-month-old and 4-year-old nieces.
Police said Moses was in charge of the two girls when she left them at the London Square Apartments in 2014. Not long after, police say, a fire broke out and the two girls died.
On Tuesday, Moses attempted to withdraw her guilty plea but was denied by a judge.
