TULSA – The aunt accused of leaving her two young nieces alone when a fatal fire broke out has been sentenced.

This week Miashah Moses was sentenced to 10 years after pleading guilty to two counts of child neglect: 15 to be spent in DOC and five suspended.

Moses was watching her 18-month-old and 4-year-old nieces at the London Square Apartments in 2014 when, according to investigators, she allegedly left them alone with something cooking on the stove.

Moses was originally charged with two counts of second degree murder in the deaths of the two young girls but later the charges were reduced to child neglect.
