The Cushing Police Department says the AT&T telephone service was temporarily down across the city, including city hall and other city services, on Wednesday.

For police matters, citizens are encouraged to contact the police department non-emergency number 918-225-1212.

"911 service is running normally following a power issue that temporarily affected some calls Wednesday morning in Enid, Shawnee and some other area emergency call centers," said a spokesperson with AT&T. "Affected centers rerouted calls and technicians quickly resolved the problem after isolating the power issue. We place the highest priority on the safety of our customers and the communities we serve. We apologize for this disruption in service."

AT&T went on to report that the issue was resolved around 12:15 p.m.
