Chenoweth's 'Broadway Boot Camp' to be in June

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. – The woman who was once a local resident and is now a Broadway star is coming home to host a camp for young students.

Kristin Chenoweth announced the dates for her second Broadway Boot Camp this week. Auditions will be held Feb. 27 at the Broken Arrow Performing Arts Center beginning at 9 a.m.

Students at the camp will be able to work with Chenoweth directly to learn more about audition techniques, stage movement and even experience interviews with Broadway industry professionals.

Those interested “must prepare two 32-measure contrasting musical theatre pieces with marked sheet music, as well as a one-minute dramatic monologue. There is no acapella singing or recorded track auditions permitted. An accompanist will be provided. A performance resume and headshot are also requested."

Applications are due by February 19 for students in grades nine through twelve.
