TULSA — A thoughtful gift to make sure no student was left without cover in the cold.

An anonymous donor left hats, gloves, and scarves at Hawthorne Elementary School.

Students, faculty, and staff arrived Monday morning to find all of the winter weather wear in plastic bags tied to the walkway railing outside the school.

But the principal tells us she has no idea who was behind the gesture.

Whoever is responsible left a note saying, "If you're cold, take me. I will keep you warm. Enjoy."

Karesha Solomon, the Principal at Hawthorne Elementary, says, "Sometimes as the weather gets colder, our students don't have everything that they need to stay warm during these conditions and so I'm really just thankful that someone was kind enough to leave resources for our students."

Principal Karesha Solomon, tells us she is grateful for the kind donnation.

Hawthorne Elementary is in North Tulsa and serves about 340 students from pre-k through fifth grade.
