SAND SPRINGS, Okla. – Classes were called off Wednesday at Anderson Public Schools due to a gas leak.
The school, located at 2195 Anderson Road in Sand Springs, posted on Facebook saying they would be closed Wednesday, March 9.
According to Anderson Public Schools, the cause of the leak has not been determined. The gas line that runs to the cafeteria was the line affected and it has been shut off.
The school spokesperson went on to say that there are currently no safety issues but they are not sure of a specific time the leak will be fixed.
The spokesperson also said classes will be canceled Thursday.
