TULSA — The American Red Cross is highlighting its need for certain blood types through a new campaign.
The organization is changing its name, though its only temporary. The organization is dropping the letters A, B and O from its name.
The letters represent different types of blood.
The Red Cross hopes its "missing type" campaign will shine a light on the importance on the need for donors, which they say is as great as ever.
The organization hopes those who haven't considered donating blood before will make an appointment.
