American Airlines is keeping their Boeing 737 Max airplanes in Tulsa a little longer than planned.

The airline says it's removing the aircraft from its schedule for an extra two months and canceling nearly 20,000 flights until early June.

American airlines had 24 Max jets when the planes were grounded last March.

Boeing is still working on changes to the aircraft, but federal safety regulators say there's no timetable for letting the jet fly again.
