Missing Muskogee County boy brought to Sheriff's Office

MUSKOGEE COUNTY, Okla. -- Officials said a missing child in Muskogee County has been brought to the Muskogee County Sheriff's Office.

Muskogee County Sheriff's Office officials had said the boy, Christopher Meyer, was taken Monday at 7 p.m. by his father, Joseph Meyer, 34.

Officials said Joseph Meyer assaulted the boy's mother with a firearm in the 2400 block of North 32nd Street in Muskogee, and then the mother left the scene. 

Deputies said the father has reportedly made threats to kill the mother.
