TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- A judge has replaced a juror in the grand jury that's investigating the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office after a reserve deputy fatally shot an unarmed man earlier this year.
The grand jury's proceedings are closed to the public, but Presiding District Judge Rebecca Nightingale briefly opened the courtroom Monday to appoint an alternate juror to take the place of a juror who had a family emergency out of state.
The jury is investigating Sheriff Stanley Glanz's office after volunteer deputy Robert Bates killed Eric Harris on April 2.
