TULSA — All lanes of Interstate 44 have reopened Friday after a semi truck crash shut down lanes for about a day.
The crash involving two semis was reported on I-44 near Garnett. Officials said one person was inside one of the truck when a fire and explosions happened. Both semis were fully engulfed in flames.
One of the trucks was carrying tires, which is why the flames were so black, officials said.
No serious injuries were reported, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. One driver had minor injuries, but wasn't taken to the hospital.
