The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports 62-year-old Afton man has died after an early-morning Monday collision.

Thomas Allen Wilson was pronounced dead at the scene of the single-vehicle crash, which took place just after 1 a.m. about 2 miles southeast of Cleora in Delaware County.

OHP says Wilson was northbound on Oklahoma 85 when he departed the road to the left and struck a tree before his pickup caught fire and burned.

Wilson was pinned in the truck for 4 hours before the Cleora Fire Department could extricate him.

The cause and Wilson’s condition at the time of the crash are under investigation, the investigating trooper says.
