TULSA, Okla. — With all the bars, restaurants, gyms, schools and coffee shops closing indefinitely, how long can one sit at home before becoming stir-crazy?
According to Blake Smith, the owner of the Admiral Twin Drive-in, the outdoor movie theater has been given special permission by city of Tulsa officials to stay open for the public.
The Admiral Twin staff prefer moviegoers to stay in their vehicles. If they choose to step out of their cars, it is a great place to practice social distancing.
Smith told 2 Works for You, that there is one contingency to the Admiral remaining open during the executive order: the concession stand must remain closed.
The bathrooms will be open, and Smith said that the Admiral will continue to follow the CDC guidelines to ensure the environment is safe for everyone.
According to the Admiral Twin Drive-In website, the movies Onward, Sonic the Hedgehog, I Still Believe and The Call of the Wild are the films scheduled to be screening this weekend.
