TULSA — An ad hoc committee made up of community members is looking for feedback for a new name of a north Tulsa elementary school.
Back in April, 2 Works for You told viewers that Tulsa Public Schools voted to consolidate Gilcrease Elementary and Bunche Elementary.
The naming committee narrowed a list of potential names to:
Maya Angelou, John Hope Franklin, Martin Luther King, Jr., Barack Obama, and Michelle Obama.
You can give your input at a community information event tonight at 6 p.m. at the Tulsa Dream Center.
The school board is expected to consider the recommendation next month.
