TULSA, Okla. - In just a few days, Officer Jesse Guardiola will be on a plane to Switzerland from Tulsa.
He's a 21-year veteran at the Tulsa Police Department who was chosen to speak and present at an international forum by the United Nations Economic and Social Council.
The "Just Governance for Human Security" forum will focus on advancing human security through good governance, inclusive economics, sustainability and more.
Officer Guardiola was nominated for his work with the department's Hispanic Outreach Program which goal is to foster positive relationships with the community.
The conference and training will be held in the small village of Caux, about 59 miles southwest of Switzerland's capital.
It runs from July 4 to July 9.
