TULSA - A person is dead and a man is injured after the car they were in caught on fire on Interstate 44.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper Jon Cotner says the driver was going westbound on I-44 and possibly missed the Lewis exit and hit a concrete wall.

When the driver hit the wall, a street light was also knocked down and the car burst into flames.

A man inside the car was able to get out and was taken to the hospital. Another person died inside the car.

It's not clear who was driver and who was the passenger. OHP hasn't provided any identification for either.

Troopers are investigating the crash.
