Posted

The Tulsa Police Department has arrested a man early this morning for threatening a woman with a knife and sexually assaulting her.

Officers responded to the call around 5:30 a.m. They were called out to a business at 63 N. Yale Ave.

When the suspect approached the woman he struck up a conversation.

When the conversation became uncomfortable and she declined the suspect's advances he held a knife to her throat.

The victim was sexually assaulted by the suspect.

Officers spoke to a witness who saw a subject matching the description run and enter a home near 4900 E. Haskell Pl.

Once officers had the house contained, Special Victims Unit Detectives were called in with a search warrant for the residence.

Evidence was recovered from the house and the suspect was transported to the Detective Division.

The suspect was booked for 1st degree rape and kidnapping.
