A community comes together to honor the memory of Marty Osborne, Claremore Battalion Fire Chief.

Marty Osborne died on Friday, June 7th.

He worked for the Claremore Fire Department for more than thirty-two years.

Several people lined the streets today in his honor.

Today he was escorted by the fire department and other public safety organizations, from Oklahoma city back to Claremore.

Sean Douglas, Claremore Fire Chief, tells us one of the hardest parts about losing him is not knowing exactly what caused his death.

"It kind of came on pretty sudden and he’s just not been able to overcome what he was dealing with so it’s really a school for the family we know but also for our people in our community and the people we work with"

Battalion Chief Osborne had a set of triplets, his one son also dedicating his life to public safety by serving on the Catoosa Fire Department.
