91-year-old Claremore man dies in State Highway 20 crash

ROGERS COUNTY, Okla. — A 91-year-old Claremore man died early Friday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Rogers County.

According to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Ray Jenkins, 91, died after being taken to the hospital in connection with the crash, which happened at about 5:30 a.m.

Officials said Jenkins performed a U-turn on State Highway 20, but then headed westbound in the eastbound lanes, when he was struck head-on by another vehicle.

The driver of the other vehicle, a 31-year-old Collinsville man, was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition.
