A brand new market started today in Whittier Square.
The 9-1-8 Makers Market showcases over fifty makers and their various homemade goods.
The goal is to build a community around the arts.
They also had a scavenger hunt for kids which included prizes.
Plus chalk art, hula hooping, and face painting.
One organizer says the creative culture here in Tulsa is florushing.
Sarah Bowen, owner of Tiny Things by Bowen, tells us "the art scene in Tulsa right now is absolutely amazing, and the public is here to support it. We just want to be available to show the public we're here, there's tons of Makers."
The market will run until 8 p.m.
