AMBER, Okla. -- An 8-year-old girl was killed Sunday in a utility vehicle accident in Grady County, according to an OHP report.
Troopers say the accident occurred on private property just south of County Road 1300 at approximately 2:50 p.m. That location is about three miles southeast of the town of Amber.
The young girl was driving a 2018 Polaris Ranger on the property and while attempting a turn, the vehicle rolled over a quarter of a turn and landed on the passenger side.
The girl was transported by Grady County EMS to Grady County Memorial Hospital assisted by MediFlight. Medical staff at Grady County Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead. She had experienced traumatic head injuries, according to the OHP.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
