MUSKOGEE, Okla. — Authorities say a 74-year-old man was a victim in an attempted armed robbery in Muskogee.
They say the man was trying to get into his car outside a Dollar General on 501 South York when the suspect approached him with a gun.
The victim was allegedly hit with the weapon, and the suspect shot at him as he tried to leave the scene.
The elderly man suffered minor injuries and is expected to recover.
Officers are searching for leads that could lead to the arrest of the suspect.
