UPDATE: Muskogee police: 4 arrested in connection to Dollar General armed robbery

MUSKOGEE, Okla — UPDATE: Four suspects have been arrested in connection to the armed robbery at a Dollar General in Muskogee over the weekend, according to officials with the Muskogee Police Department.

On Monday, Jan. 6, Ashley Johnson was charged with conspiracy to commit a felony and possession of a firearm, officials said. Douglas Sail was also charged with conspiracy to commit a felony.

On Tuesday, Jan. 7, Jacob Staton was charged with an armed robbery, conspiracy to commit a felony, assault with a deadly weapon, shooting with intent, possession of a firearm and resisting arrest, officials said. Ashley Burks was also charged with conspiracy to commit a felony and an outstanding felony warrant.

According to Muskogee police, a 74-year-old man was attacked outside of a Dollar General in Muskogee over the weekend.

Police responded to an armed robbery on Saturday around 3:55 p.m. at a Dollar General located at 501 South York Street.

74-year-old Sammy Henry was hit with a gun outside of the Dollar General.

Police say Henry stated he was trying to get into his car when the suspect approached him with a gun.

Officers say Henry was hit with the gun, and as he tried to run, the suspect fired shots at him.

The suspect left the scene after firing shots at Henry, officials say.

Henry is suffering from minor injuries.

Police say the suspect was wearing a black hoodie and mask or bandana covering face during the act.
