7 ft tall menorah lit at BOK Center for Chanukah

Posted

TULSA – Downtown is joining in on a worldwide public celebration of Chanukah Dec. 9.

A 7 foot menorah will be lit at the BOK Center in observance of the fourth night of Chanukah.

The public lighting was organized by Chabad’s Rabbi Yehuda Weg, who remarked, “The Menorah serves as a symbol of Tulsa's dedication to preserve and encourage the liberty of all its citizens to worship G-d freely and openly with pride. Specifically in these United States, a nation founded on the basis of protecting the right of every citizen to practice their own religion proudly without fear of persecution, the Menorah takes on profound significance, embodying both religious and constitutional principles”.
